I have a 96 cutlass supreme 3100 intake gaskets were done about 3 months ago with the new felpro gaskets , now im getting an oil leak on the driverside i think around the lower intake but i can't really see where its coming from. i torqued the bolts at 10 ft pounds as the gm manuel says. but i was reading around and i believe someone gave some different torque information.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out thankyou

You probably did absolutely nothing wrong if the car runs better than before you did the gaskets. Unfortunately you weren't informed about the distributor hole/oil shaft seal. The block still has a hole for a distributor. It is filled with a plug that holds a rod for the oil pump, this rod is turned by the camshaft. The plug was originally fitted with a rubber seal which over time it becomes brittle, breaks, leaks down the side of the bellhousing and makes it look like a severe oil leak. The solution is a replacement seal made of Viton(light brown colored). It's available through the dealer for like $2.00 The bad news: it's below the throttle body and the only way to get to it is to remove the lower manifold again. Sorry bout that. Good Luck -Chris

ok i hope its not that because its not a severe oil leak. since july not even a half a pint has leaked out. is that the only thing it could be?
