Hey guys im new on here hopefully you can help me out! I have GMC Sanoma 2000 V6 4.4 lt is an automatic

Alright my problem just started happening about a week ago and I can hear like a grinding noise in the engine area i beleive not exactley sure but it sounds almost like either when someone messes up on the clutch in a manual or just something plainly griding. It only does it in first gear or unless i punch my gas. It doesnt do it in Neutral or reverse and only does it when im at a complete stop and press the gas pedle. I hope i explained everything correctly and hopefully someone can help me out!

So i found out it has something to do with the right fornt tire but still havnt figured out the problem it sounds almost like the tire is rubbing on something but it only does it in first gear if it was rubbing it would do it constantly

I have a 96 Olds Achieva - automatic transmission. I have the same problems mentioned above.

When I accelerate too hard from a stand still I hear a grinding noise coming from somewhere under the hood.

It only happens in first gear, although I havent tried punching the gas at higher speeds.

I thought at first it could be my transmission slipping? But above it says it could be a tire problem. Im pretty clueless as to where to start looking or how to diagnose this. Please help, thanks in advance.

I think im gonna try something A friend told me to do.....get couple blocks to stop your vehicle and stick the vehicle in neautral...then jack up one tire at a time in the front and spin it and see if it makes the noise..if not then u can see its not rubbing on anything n go on diagnosing the problem....im going to do this tomorow
