I picked up this Revell kit from a model swap meet almost 2 years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't check the kit when I bought it - it was missing the tyres and the windscreen and frame were warped (which you can tell from the pix). And since this kit is OOP, I had to improvise. The tyres are from the Tamiya VW Beetle. I couldn't do too much about the windscreen.
Kit is painted Tamiya Maroon, BMF work on the trim, Alcad Chrome on the bumpers, and very basic engine wiring. I did use some photoetched parts on the engine but you cant tell in the pix.
Rather frustrating kit to build - I started out painting it with Finishers Pure Red, but didn't like and ended with Maroon which suited the car ok. The windscreen frame was very fragile and kept breaking!
Anyways, here come the pix...
