battery light showing

I have just replaced my battery with a new one, but every now and then the battery light will show for a short period of time. When I see this it freaks me out and I wonder if its going to fail me. . .Before I have the charging system tested, maybe someone has had this problem and knows how to correct it. I can't tell that it is adversely affecting any performance of the car.

That battery light you are seeing is not indicating you need a new battery, it is informing you there is a problem with you electrical system. Parts like the alternator, voltage regulator, and/or battery. Most repair shops will do an electrical system check for free.
