EGR Valve Info

I know the EGR can be removed from early 90's V6 engines and operate with a block off plate installed. My queation is, can the EGR be removed and blocked off on 94 & 95 Vortec V6 engines with CPI injection. I have replaced it ounce and now every so often I have to remove it an clean out the carbon. It would be much easier to just block it off if possible. My area has no emission testing and my truck is used more for show than as a daily driver as I have already made several modifications to the engine and exhaust.

If you do that you risk running into pinging or some lite detonation, this will retard the timing, I believe you have a knock sensor and affect overall performance.
