I Need A Couple Opinions

Ok, I plan on buying 1 12" Audiobahn that says 1100 RMS wats for $109.99, and a Pyramid 2000watt max power amp for $79.99. Im pretty sure the amps shit, but it says 2000watts so im thinkin maybe 800watts rms? Even so how shitty would it be compared to a name-brand amp. Whats the difference? Sound, how long it lasts, or would it heat up too fast? If it wasnt for the cheap ass price I wouldnt ask. I was basically just wondering if there was anything that anyone else would change out about this setup. Also I already have a Dual deck.

I say go for it. The audiobahns dont need much power to get loud. I'd be surprised if u get 600rms from that amp though.
Granted, its a >200$ system, so don't expect beautiful noise. You'll want a new amp eventually. Then when you get a new amp you'll want a new sub with better sq.
so there you have it. Its up to you.

You mean <$200 system... hehe if you can save up some more money and make it a >$200 system, maybe you can take a look at some Hifonics amps or Profile. Maybe take a look on eBay?
Pyramid amps don't ever list RMS wattage as far as I know... just max power. I'd be curious to know how much power they do give. I once bought a 1600W max Pyramid 2 channel amp, and the fuse was a 25A I think? Isn't that an indicator that it couldn't be putting that much power?

at 13.5v you could get 337.5w from that amp
13.5 is what I usually have.

Yeah... but does that necessarily mean that it is putting out 337.5W RMS? Couldn't it just be an overrated fuse?

then this is definitely good enough for a temp setup. you may get some recommendations for a different amp in the same price range though. I'd prefer an $80 amp rated for less power > $80 amp rated at 2000w.

for that price look into a profile amp (they give pretty close to rated power if not rated power) and a RE 12" or a couple RE 10's. That would get louder an sound WAY better than Audiopawn. ugh

well at the last minute I changed sites and order from onlinecarstereo.com. i ordered a pioneer premier 1000watt 12" sub, rated 400rms. Also I ordered a boss amp, 850watts.
