Extremely Strange 6th Gen Headlight Problem

I was out tonight and for some reason I pulled into the gas station and all hell broke loose with my headlight system. Maybe someone here can help me...
When I turn on my low beam headlights, one of them is at full brightness, the other comes on very dim, and my bright lights fade in very dimly as well. When I turn on my high beams, one high beam comes on full bright, the other high beam and the corresponding low beam fade out completely, and I get no little blue high beam indicator light on my dashboard...
The only 2 mods I've made recently that have anything to do with the electrical system are:
1. Speed mod chip that tells my air intake sensor that the air is a steady 35 degrees (I don't know if you've seen those on ebay)....
2. Today I just installed a pair of dual voicecoil speakers in my box in the rear to replace my screwed up pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch P1's...
Since noticing this problem, I have since taken the necessary steps and disconnected the air intake mod and reconnected the stock intake sensor, and I still have the problem with the headlights.
HELP!!!!
P.S. it's a 6th gen 1994 celica st liftback

The air intake mod was a chip that I stuck in the plug where the oem intake sensor would otherwise be plugged in, the stereo wiring was redone by a professional stereo shop (when I first hooked it up a long time ago I did it myself).
As it turns out, the problem or part of it seems to be that I keep melting my headlight plugs because I put the hyper blue bulbs in and they put out alot more heat than the stock bulbs, so that was creating a short of some kind. I disconnected the low beam with the melted plug and now the other low beam and the high beam on the same side work fine, but the high beam on the side with the unplugged low beam headlight doesn't come on when the low beam bulb is unplugged. I don't know if that's normal or if something fried my wiring somewhere...

Some friends of mine had that problem and they had to replace the whole headlight harness. The bulbs they got were from ebay. Luckily we worked at a factory that made the harnesses and lights for their cars so it was free for them to fix.

any idea where to get a headlight harness for a 94 st for cheap?
Or since I'm running Hyper Blues Anyway, would it maybe be a better idea just to save up a little extra and spring for the HID harness?

oh i've had that problem with the fog lights in my 90 gt-s its most likely a short it in the wiring thats what it was for me if you dont get it fixed the fusebox for the headlights will melt down and catch on fire just dont use the headlights too much take it to a shop and have them check teh wires for a short

I replaced one of the 15 amp headlight fuses, and now everything seems to be working the way it should. I suppose just to be safe I'll take it to get checked next paycheck.

in that case it mighta just been a bad fuse i tried replacing a fuse for my fog lights when they were screwing up and the fuse blew the second i put it in so yeh it was definatly shorted out but i think u should be alright if it happens again check for shorts
