HF = High Fule. The HF models were really good on gas milage. They weighed less, and had a much weaker engine. 80+ horsepower or so. The engine is worthless, and you would have to spend mega bucks to make any kind of power.

Si = Honda's sport model. 106-108 horsepower. Disc brakes all around. (dont think the HF's had discs in the rear) With a few grand the engine can make decent power.

Also, the HF's have really long gears, which sucks even more.

Def go for the Si.

Def go for the Si.

HF only had 62 hp, long gears r great for a turbo setup.
Si stand for Sports Injection, only the 91 Si's had 4 wheel discs

i have to go for the other direction, I suggest going with the HF, I say this because

1. Gas prices at the moment
2. Cheaper then the SI (people try to cash in on the SI models more, even tho they are still CRX's)
3. HF=rare shell for any engine swap. (plus its the light'es in the line up.)

Up to you tho wich one you want to get...

the 88 DX is actually the lightest of all 88-91 CRX 1922lbs. the DX picked up sum weight as the years rolled on. yes the HF is lighter than the Si

Some correct information...

90-91 Si models had rear disc brakes
HF models have 8 valve head
Si models have sunroof
Si models have strut tower braces
Si models have lower sway bars front/rear
