Got My First Kill

I driving to work and i had just got my camaro fully insured when i saw this new 350z pull up next to me and i revved my engine and he replied. so when the light turned green i smoked the shit out of him. so i slowed down and at the next light he gave said that my z28 was freaking fast. These are the mods the car has, granetelli mass air flow, k&n cai, slp headers, flowmaster catback, custom tuning, msd ignition. hotchkis suspension and i know it has something else i just can't remember right now.

Now ditch the Granatelli MAF and Flowmasters... The stock MAF will support well over 400hp, and the granatelli one is meant for bone stock applications.

And flowmasters are proven to suck, get something else because it will restrict your power later down the road.

Well i know i have to get rid of the flowmasters, i've already ordered a borla catback, it should be in sometime next week. and as far as the granatelli mass airflow what's wrong with it, i've heard great things.

yeah i thought the 350z were fast but i guess the camaro z28 is alot faster, damn this car scares me, this car can peel out in first and second gear. it has 3.73 gears so it's good on the launch, but i'm planning on putting some 3.42 on.

Wait a minute. Granatelli IS a performance maf. Here is the page on how it flows 47% better than stock and claims a 10-23 hp gain. I am not sure I buy the hp gain, but it has to be better than stock.There a bit high priced, but if you didn't buy it, who cares!

Do you actually believe the sites with dyno graphs? Some LT headers claim 40hp, when its more like 25.

well we charge 70 bucks for 3 pulls with air and fuel readings. members pay 50...i pay nothing lol. but its between 65-100 bucks most places

congrats on the kill... i have flowmasters and i sure as hell are not letting them go... the beautiful sound is worth the few hp loss in my eyes... nothin beats a flowmaster rumble :evillol:

oh yea forgot, about the granitelli MAF, don't worry about getting rid of it, it will help compliment any future mods, if its already on there no need to get rid of it, it does flow more and that way you know you're not having any restriction or loss of flow at the MAF... they cost too much for me, i just descreened my stock one, i almost bought it, just a little too much, but like some1 said already, if its on there, don't bother downgrading, its a decent mod

nice kill. also, if i may put in my 2 cents, i think the flowmasters sound good on the z28's.. just sound like ass on the v6's.. and like drvngstorm said, i feel it would be worth it to sacrifice all of a couple hp.. you could always free that up somewhere else..

amen to that, flows do sound like shit on v6's... but the sound is absolutely beautiful on a v8 :evillol:
