if i were to put a cold air intake system on my brother's 88 crx si, would it be a good idea to disconnect the O2 sensor?

no! don't do that. you'll get a check engine light and the car will run REALLY bad.

just a question, but why would you think this? You do know the o2 sensor is an exhaust sensor right?

My mostly stock 85 CRX, and here's my plans:
Pacesetter 4-2-1 header
Taylor Cable 8mm spiro-core spark plug wires
Nology PowerCore
2" custom exhaust set-up
Custom intake system
Custom short throw shifter
Wagon front sway bar
Stiffer rear springs
Complete conversion to urethane bushings
Blacked out exterior, windows, interior, and all under-hood components
(((((Blow the doors off my lil' bros 88 CRX Si)))))) :screwy:

No o2 sensor = rich mixture ALL THE TIME. Kiss those ponies goodbye + a new set of plugs every time you change your oil.

just a question, but why would you think this? You do know the o2 sensor is an exhaust sensor right?

Inquiring minds want to know. Who told you this and why?
