Ok i have a friend with a thunderbird with a rebuilt 351 modified in it. i dont now what kind of trans is in it or rearend gears, my guess is that it is still stock. I was wondering if my car could beat it if it had a 355c.i. with 390 horse an 420 ft/lbs of torque, keisler 6 speed an 3.73to 1 gears in it? I also know another kid with a newer chevy stepside extened cab and a vortech 327 with some sort of super chip at 305 horse running on 89 octane, stock trans and rearend. who would win between me and him?

You'd win, from what im guessing.

im pretty positive you would beat the stepside but not too sure about the 351...what else do you know about it.Cause some of those 351's can be some mean ass engines.

I'd bet you would win in all cases.

The 5.4l makes a tremendous amount of torque if modified, but take it from me..i own a 95 4.6 v8 thunderbird....these cars need..NEED either 350hp/400tq to the wheels to even see mid 13's in the 1/4...they weigh a TON.

If you take a 4.6 like mine, and get it rebuilt, then slap on a supercharger then you'd be toast...Maybe.. Take in consideration if the tbird has 4.10 gears...it'll eat camaro's for breakfast (STOCK CAMARO's).
