help finding out whats involved in importing a crx

I'm currently in germany and i'm tring to find out if anyone knows whats involved in shipping a crx to the US. I found a lil bit on the net but i'm tring to find like a price range or something if anyone knows about importing cars.

mostly what it is is jsut emissions testing and making sure its a legal car for street use ect. thye jsut wanan make sure its safe and to us standards. as far as the cost to import id say maybe a few grand. but dont quote me.
