Hood release broke. I can pull the lever (under the steering wheel) but the cable simply comes out.
I think it broke at the latch itself.
What can I do to open the hood?
Thanks
Seb

Yes I did,
You have to push the latch (from left to right, when facing the car).
Take a average size screw driver in your left hand, pass it through the bumper openings (on the left side), bring it up to the latch and find the opening where you can slide it in and push. You have to push hard, then the hood comes up.
I used a large flash light to peek in and try to make sense.
I have not replaced the cable yet. Simply installed a piece if wire to pull the latching thingy to the right. Not perfect but it will do till the spring

Thanks for replying.
I actually ended up taking it to a station. They took the tension spring off first (from underneath) Then were able to release the lock. My cable had actually popped out of place and came detached so we just put it back in and put some ties on it to help hold the cable in place.
So far, so good.
Apparently, the cables are discontinued.
Anyway, good to have your reply in case I have anymore trouble with it.
Thank you.
