Stipped lug nut

I.ve got a 1997 4x4 tahoe, today i was switching my road tires with my mudd tires and i stripped a lug nut and i cant get it off does anyone have any ideas about what i should do to get the lug off?

You have to get mean and force the nut to shear the lug. Use breaker bar. Then replace stud and lug nut..

If you've stripped the hex off, I have heard that you can hammer a piece of pipe or rod over that mulched hex, and then get a big pipe wrench on that to spin it off. Never done this myself, but I heard it works. Good luck!

What i have done in a jam like that was to take a socket that would not quite fit on the lugnut and persuade it on with a hammer, sucks to maybe wreck a good socket but it does work. I have done this with the factory locknuts when they key stripped out.
