Does anybody know anything about the Yokohama As430 tire? I've been trying to find out some info on them, but so far have been unsuccessful.

Have you checked TireRack.com? They sell a ton of tires, but they also have a ton of info on them as well as consumer reviews.
I don't know anything about tires, but I've heard that the Dunlop A2 Sport tires work well with the N body vehicles (Alero, Malibu, Grand Am).

I have those tire on my car and they are the greatest tire i had on my car. It has excelent traction on corners and great in the snow! I gave it 2 thumbs up. Go for it. Trust me!

I was also interested in purchasing AS430's and could not find any information so I called Yokohama in California and spoke to one of their reps. He told me that the AS430 was virtually the same tire as the Avid H4S / V4S series with a slightly different tread pattern. Both tires are 60,000 mile high performance class tires. Tread pattern and name was changed to allow these to be sold as proprietary tire by selected tire dealers. He stated that they were developed and tested in the same lab at the same time and of the same makeup, except for tread. He aslo said the difference in tread wear rating was completely due to the tread variation. He said the tread on the AS430 rsulted in slightly better wet traction vs. H4S performing slightly better in dry conditions. As info, the number to Yokohama is 1-800-722-9888 8am to 4:45 pacific time. Hope this helps.

I've had the AS430s on my 01 Alero for 26k miles now and have had absolutely no problems with them. I'm in NE Ohio, so we get some bad snow days and I haven't had problems. These are much better than the OEM RS-As. they were about $100 each in 225/50R16

I bought a set in early 06 also, the AS430's and have 20k on them. They have always been rotated and balanced per recommendations as well as airpressure. They are ready to be replaced already, I drive on the freeway 50 miles roundtrip for work. I don't hotrod I drive conservatively so that things will last. DON'T BUY THEM, Get some tires that will last. BUY GOODYEAR TIRES, they have lasted a long time as well as bridgestone's. Just my 2 cents worth.
