Hooker Headers

The only aftermarket brand of headers i can find that fit my 78 T-Bird are Hooker Super Competition Headers. Is Hooker a bad brand, i often hear people saying buy the headers from a Cleveland (spelling) since i have a 351M.

Now this is going to sound stupid, but if i put these in my plan, will it affect what i can buy, for example intakes, carbs, or exhaust. Also should i need any special nuts a bolts to buy with it you think? Thanks for your time guys.

I have heard that hooker headers are pretty nice. Just buy them and you'll be happy with the outcome. I have never heard of headers affecting what type of intake and carb you run. It'll be fine.

For cars that they make headers for, Hookers are the best, hands down. SuperComps are the "race" header. They may also offer "Comps" (a little smaller, less expensive).
Buy them uncoated and send them to a coating shop such as Jet Hot, Thermal Tech or Swain. The quality of the "factory" coating is not as good, and not much cheaper. We use Thermal Tech (Hopewell, VA). We've seen them on dirt track cars lasting several years without flaking or fading. For a street car, they protect your investment, as well as pick up a bit of power.
ARP makes some 3/8" headed bolts that can make installing them less painful. No header installation is simple... Hooker supplies the 7/16" headed bolts, as well as gaskets in the box.
You will also need the appropriate reducers (to attach the headers to the exhaust system).

As far as i've herd Hookers are the best It's what my dad runs in his 11-sec Nova and he told me after buying a good set like that youll never go back (I wouldn't know I'm stuck with FlowTechs for now)
