Sparatic Idle

Does anyone know why on my 03 gmc sierra 5.3 I would be getting a rough idle. It seems to happen only when I start the truck before I put it in gear and drive it. I generaly can turn the A/C off then turn it back on and sometimes will correct the problem. Any suggestion or hints>?
