i just got a new cold air intake on my car, obviously the sound it makes is amazing. it realy makes the supercharger stand out. i got the intake off ebay. its got the place for the sensor and looks just like the ones you can buy from sites for 200. ive read that the 4t65e transmissions are rated at about 265ft lbs of torque. but i also read that thats the max torque the tranny could handle. wouldnt putting any mods on the car set it over the limit. what is the limit the trannys can handle till problems occur.

new problem/post. i had a problem with my egr valve. i needed a new one. when i slmmed on the gas at about 4000rpm the car would hesitate or it would feel like its running over small bumps....possibly even like the traction control is on. i even thought the trans was slippping. i replaced the egr valve and it stopped for a short while. i made sure when replacing the egr valve i cleaned alll the carbon out of the valve. now the studdering is back. i was thinking maybe the intake is having an affect on it. but ive noticed some guys have alot of work done to their cars and dont seem to be posting anything about this prob.

im still kinda new to all these technical things.

check out zzp's website and get the EGR delete.

when u feel this studdering its while driving right?? or are you revving the motor in neutral?? I could be a missfire, I would go to walmart and get yourself some autolite 104's and gap'm around .55

I have well over 300ftlbs of torque at the wheels, broke 2 differentials, one inputshaft, and one pump shaft. Transmissions on this car can go either way, you'll either bust a butch of them or never have any problems.

Our good friends at ZZP have done a lot of testing on the 4T65E-HD tranny. Technically, it has a duty cycle that is supposedly good for continuous mid 13 second quarter mile times.

Therefore, stock it will handle well over 300 ft-lbs of torque but for how long is anyones guess.
