94 Intrepid Tranny Problem

Car has about 60K miles. The car shifts fine between all gears. When the car has been running for about 10 minutes and I slow down, at about 5 miles/hour it jerks hard into 1st gear. When I accelerate everything is fine and it down shifts into all gears OK until 1st gear. When slowing down if I brake hard before I stop you can hardly feel the problem. When I slow down and throw it into neutral before I stop, again you can hardly feel a problem. Fluid level is fine and I recently added in Lucas Tranny treatment. Didn't really do anything. Any ideas.

#1 thing to remember with Chrysler transmissions, PLEASE NEVER ADD ANY ADDITIVES OR OTHER FLUIDS TO THE TRANSMISSION. You will screw things up in a heartbeat b/c these transmissions are very sensitive to the type of fluid you use in them. I just went to my local tranny repair shop. They hooked up a computer and found no bad codes. He drove he around the block with the computer on and must have re-programmed something beacause the problem went away. Best part was he didn't even charge me, so I'll go back and have them replace the fluid and filter. Thanks :)
