prolly around 180 maybe 190 ish (from what I've heard, mitsu over-rated the engines so it's more like 210ish at the crank)
manual's an autos both have the same power rating, but a manual will beat an auto in the 1/4 becuase of the launch... maybe that's why your thinking the manual might have more power????

rocker is he talking about the dohc? cause didnt that have an over rating of 222hp - cause they called them the 222hp stereo's? but ya i would agree an say its prolly 180-190 to the ground 190 being generous... :P
And i been meaning to tell i love the sig... i saw it an i had to think about it for a second then i started cracking up..

You guys are waaay too generous. A kid with a 96 DOHC MTX that is modded recently dynoed and saw 178hp to the wheels. Stock they are usually lucky to hit 170. Most modded DOHC's dont even touch 190 hp.

I pulled 166 @5k
Car was still pulling but Dyno could not read my ignition. I have Intake and exhaust mods.
Given that the loss is roughly 23% from engine to wheels for HP
200hp Crank = 154hp Wheels.

I dont see any FWD losing 23%. They are losing around 18% for a MTX and 20% for ATX. AWDs only lose 25%.
So 210 crank hp less 18% is about 172 hp which is what most healthy DOHC's see stock.

agree that 170ish is a good estimate on HP for the majority of these cars, but still they can get pretty decent 1/4 times considering ;)
