Have you ever hed of a window regulator. i called a window repair shop explained that my window was binding up and it not the windopw motor b/c i had just replaced it. they said that is could be the window regulator. could this be true?

in case you haven't done this; yes, there is a window regulator.
no you probably don't have to replace it, but adjust it.
inside the door panel, where the motor attachs, is a "scissor-looking" device that will have rollers on the tops and ends. this is the regulator.
older vehicles had just a large "bicycle pedal" cog device, and newer ones have cable-driven ones (be thankful the fiero isn't that one); anyhow, that metal-framed scissor should be lubed with a little white lithium grease. then plug-in your power toggle, and see if the window moves easier, being lifted on these tracks.
if it is still binding, you can loosen the front glass run channel, at the top, as these bolt holes are slotted; allowing for adjustment. (the run channel, or track, is just a vertical running track bar towards the front of the door, that keeps the window sliding straight up, rather than cocked or tilted. directly behind this bar, almost dead center of the door (top-to-bottom center), is the front bolt of the cam of the regulator, which is also slotted if the regulator is "pushing" the window against the sills, causing it to raise slowly because of additional friction.
you also said, you already replaced the window motor, so check to make sure it is making a good "grab" or connection with the regulator, or it could be "slipping" and only catching and lifting the window sporadically, which could also cause slow lifting and lowering window characteristics.
