Hey, when i first got my car i wanted it to look cool right away, so, like most people i tinted the rear windows BLACK.....now, i have my car done up, custom paint and stuff, and the tint makes my car look cheap...i'm wondering how to take the tint off...I imagine with a razor i can take the side window tint off...but what about that rear window with the defrost lines...can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance

Scape it and use ammonia or vinegar to get the glue off.

they sell some window tint removal stuff at the local stores. you spray it on and put some suran wrap over it and let it set for a while. then you can just peel it right off. i made the mistake of scraping my back window and now i have no rear defrosters.

DONT USE THE SYRAN WRAP TO COVER IT UP!!!!

I removed the tint on my front windows, on one side I bagged it up, the other I didnt... the side I sealed up, came off in litle pieces, the other side which I didnt cover up... came off in one piece.

You are correct, DO NOT scrape the lines as they will come off... however you will most likely need a razor blade to start the removal... just be carefull, and pull slow and steady and you should get it all off. Then spray more tint remover off and let it sit a bit to get the glue thats still left off... repeat that till its all gone.

i used a heat gun, and the spray to take off my tint. what ever residue was left on the window I took off with grease remover, and windex. :D

rip off all the the tint. there will be glue left.
get fine steel wool. FINE!. and some strait ammonia.
use the two to get the glue off.
