95 blazer wont start

i have a 95 blazer 4.3 vortec engine when i try to start all i get is a clicking noise and the instrument panel goes dim my mechanic replaced the starter and it started up but when i switched it off it has refused to start i have tried 3 different batteries all brand new with no luck please help :banghead:

Assuming your battery connections are good, I would check your starter solenoid with a load tester.

Try making sure that all your battery cables are in good condiction. Try moving the cables around. There is a smaller wire that goes from the battery to the starter that broke inside the insulation on my blazer. I just replaced the wire. Don't try and splice it back together. You'll only ask for more trouble later.

Most likely your starter was a bad remanufactured.... If all you're getting is clicking, typically it means the starter is bad. Have him fix it again. (You should not be charged)

checked the starter and it worked fine when we took it out but when we put it back in it just clicks

That really doesn't mean anything. Look at it this way, you have no load on it when it's out of the truck. It takes a lot more power to crank that flywheel than just to spin the bendix. More than likely the starter is too weak to turn the motor.
