need some help with the fuse location for the the under hood light. I can't seem to find it in chiltons or owners manual. Also, if anyone knows the hood raise trigger mechanism for this light location an doperation I would appreciate the insight.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I ran into this - same truck as you, it wasn't the fuse. It was the switch mechanism inside the light. I unplugged it, took it out and disassembled the case. The switch is a gravity pivot that slides to make contact when the hood is up and slides off when it's down. Mine was grimy and dirty. Cleaned it up and it worked better. Sometimes requires a tap or two to come on.

i just cleaned it out and reinstalled. now the circuit is continuous so I am assuming no blown fuse but still no light. It is a neat little switch assembly.
Where the bulb (fuse looking thing) is you can tell where in the past another one blew out.
Still want to check the fuse but the next step is to check the bulb.
If you know where the fuse is for this circuit please advise.
Thanks for the response
