I have a 2001 LS 2wd that has the factory foglamps. As I understand, the daytime headlights are seperate from the lo/hi headlights, right? Is there a way I can use my High beams (and lo-beams via 4 headlight mod), and have the foglamps stay on? Currently the fog lamps go out when you hit high beams, but come on after you go back to lo. I thought having all 8 come on would be cool!! When you hit High beams, the Lo, Hi, Daytime, amd Fog lamps all come on!! Like BAM!! Daytime :eek7:
ANy ideas?? I havent done the 4 light mod yet, but before I did I Wanted to ask about the foggies.:dunno:

why not go for 10!! I have seen a few guys convert their DRL's to do on with the markers. So basically you have all 3 bulbs in the bumper lights on at the same time. I think he just went to a parts store and got 2 sockets for the turn signals, cut off the plug for the drl's and just jumped the wires from the origonal turn signal. So basicly if you would have : High's Lows' Fogs' Corner markers, Turn signals, and also Turns signals where the DRl's once were. Tha would be sick!
Im not sure if this makes any sense to you, if not I will try to find the link. Im thinking about doing this myself.

There was a mod on here that had all lights on in High but, I can't remember what the the thread was. If I remember correctly it was rather an intense mod and didn't seem all that easy to do...
As for the 4 headlight mod, do it if you haven't already and the foglights I've been told can be programmed at the dealer to come on when you want them too. I did away with the dealer on this one and just wired the stock foglights my own way bypassing the stock wiring however, I find the Stock foglights on the 99's rather ineffective. If I had my druthers I would have spent the money on better foglights, oh well, live and learn...

Found the thread....
Good luck

Definatly sounds cool, seems like a few hours of work though. I do enough wire repair at work, to come home and do more on my truck. Well maybe someday.

well, even if I didn't do the 4 light mod, I would at least like to learn how to keep foggies on while in high beam mode. They provide some much needed vision at close ranges. They really light up the large potholes making them more visible by shadowing them.

The above post leads to this one, which has the best discussion I've found, IMO. Posts #10 and #21 have all you need for '03 and later.

No, you would do it this way (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=305179)
Check out post #15 for a nice diagram.
