Do you know how to locate this "hispanic" guy? you might need to sue him.

BTW lemon laws are for new cars that roll crappy off of the lot not those who have been wrecked into trees and such. :smokin:

Several years back i bought 3 camaros thru the insurance auction in NJ. all 3 had NJ Salvage Titles.
I completely restored all 3 and took them thru the TN Department of Safety for their inspection process and got all 3 new clear titles for those cars.
GM even re-instated the factory warranty on them.
They were not half-@ss rebuilt though. No shorcuts were taken and EVERYTHING was back to factory specs when finished.
When they were sold, Everything was disclosed to the buyers upfront and there was no problems at all.

Evidentally, the guy that sold you the car didn't follow the legal route for restoration, or the ethical route in letting you know that the car was rebuilt

Probably both cause im gonna look into the previous insurance claim to see if they knew what was up. basically it make the 5,000 camaro worth 2000 so im gonna ask for the difference keep the camaro etc it was restored good enough to not look like it was in an accident at a glance but mechanics told me it had front end damage about a month after i bought it

That's a South Park reference I made. The county fair episode when the cows commit mass cow suicide.

My car had not only been in an accident, it was sold out of a junkyard(but not junked) so I used something like carfax reports. You gotta pay but it's worth it in the long run.

I'd assume anything on there is the only proof of a rebuild, and registration etc.

what exactly is the problem? its got a salavaged title... but your still driving it right? so im not exactly sure what the problem is, who cares if it has a salvaged title, i will trade you my cav with a clean title for your camaro with a salvaged one.

P30n
09-28-2005, 05:19 PM
no no lemme explain

bought car carfax said has clean title, owner said has clean title

yesterday i got al etter from state saying 'no uh yer screwed the car doesn't have a clean title its a salvage title, it was a total loss crash etc yourscrewed but this happened before you bought it andwe know that'

so carfax offers buyback guarentee thingie if it happens like that they purchase it back for what i paid for it so i hope that works + insurance compensation + small claims court for fraud = newer car is wat im thinkin, ya see???

oh, i under stand, its not the fact that it has a salvaged title its the fact that you purchansed it thinking it was a clear title, either way to me, i wouldnt give a shit.

P30n
09-28-2005, 06:16 PM
i've put in like 3,000$ into it and i can't sell it for more then 2000$ when i stilll owe 4000$ + its called fraud, you may not care but i do cause its my hard earned money

You might want to point out to the state the sales price that you paid sales tax on. I don't know what kind of car we're talking about, you have a 97 acura in your profile.... if that's it, then I'd get the blue book and black book, the receipt showing how much the sales price and sales tax you paid, and ask them how they're coming up with $1400? There's no way it depreciated $3600 in one year, and if they'e only goin to give you $1400, you should ask for a refund on the sales tax you paid on $3600. If they can up the value of a car for sales tax purposes, then when they lower the value they should have to refund the tax you paid.

P30n
09-30-2005, 01:18 AM
uhm wth are you talkin about???????

i bought the car thinking it was a clean title when it was already wrecked
someone just turned in an insurance claim to get money outta the car so now its salvage
i get screwed out of the value because salvage camaro worth 1500-2000 vs the camaro with clean title is 4500-550
so might sue for the diff between salvage title vs clean title

Earlsfat
09-30-2005, 02:21 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong here... I thought you said you paid like 5000 for it and the state is going to give you 1400 for it and crush it? IF that's the case then I'd want a refund from the state of the sales tax I paid on the higher value.

P30n
09-30-2005, 04:32 PM
uhm no insurance company voluntarily giving me 1400 for compensation since no one made it a salvage title which they should have the suing is something completely diff
