We are working on the same problem right now. We ended up lowering the stearing colum to get to the top bolt. you have to pop of a dash piece and take out two bolts on the underside and it will just drop down. Then we used a bunch of extensions and a swivel to get to the top bolt. now we are trying to figure out how to get the rod out of the cylinder without damageing that switch. if you have figured it please let me know

Turns out you dont have to remove the rod to take off the black switch. it splits down the center and you take it apart. I had the guys at the ford dealership show me how to do it. it was simple. all we have left is to bleed the system. once we figure that out i will post what we find. Im waiting untill this weekend when i can get someone to help me.
