Hey guys, just wondering how many miles you got out of a motor, man. trans., auto trans., c.v. joints, any other part that wears or goes out.
Looking for BOTH HIGH, AND LOW numbers...

I've never seen a metro break a CV joint, or tear a boot, i'd estimate 100k minimum out of them. The engines, depends on how they were maintained. Well maintained engines should last about 200k. A typical "change the oil every once in a while" maintenence schedule will yield about 110k, and a new engine head from burnt exhaust valves. Manual transmissions are notorious for losing 2nd gear when abused. Auto tranny's are usually excellent, but are more sluggish and get a signifigant MPG decrease on the highway. The main things to look for are a clean EGR system on 92+ vehicles, underbody rust around the lower control arms, and drivers side window regulators.
