Anyone familiar with this. A local dealer's tech said he had done it and was planning on getting into it. I have seen this service offered on eBay (of course, everything is on eBay :) - Seriously, have any of you had experiences with this - positive or negative? My ABS/STC lights are on bout 1/2 the time. Local trustworthy tech says wheel sensors are ok - question is do I go with the module rebuild, a new module, can it be a DIY? Please share any experiences as I have been (I seem to be one of the few?) who have been quite happy with this vehicle. Getting this mystery solved would be awesome. Best, ~M

My ABS module went bad. I took it to the dealer and they were charging around 1,000.00 to replace it. I looked on Ebay just like you did and ended finding a website for a guy who rebuilds them. The website had excellent instructions on how to remove the module and what tools were needed. I mailed the unit to the repair preson and had it back in less than a week. I installed the unit and the problem was solved. Cost about $150.00. I wish I could remember the website but if you do a little searching I am sure you can find it.

There are people who do rebuild the ABS modules, I'll look around on the other volvo forums and see if anyone has a link.
