knocking left side dash?

2002 TB LTZ 4WD just started hearing a knocking noise comming from left side of dash, between key and middle consol after truck is started, it's a hard fast knocking like on a hard wood door?sometimes sounds like someone squeezing an emty lighter fluid can realy fast?!!
