I recently bought a used 1995 Chevy Lumina LS that has keyless remote entry. It did not have a remote to it. I've read about how to reprogram
to the new remote, which sounds easy enough, however I've been unable to locate the central locking module.
In reading answers to various posts, there's supposed to be a black and white wire (that doesn't go anywhere) taped somewhere in the trunk on the RH passenger side possibly near the antenna. Nothing. I have looked behind the carpet moulding (at the firewall) still nothing!!
So what's the deal? Is it in another location on the '95 sedans? Could it possibly be missing? the door locks/trunk release do work) Is there another of getting it into programing mode (without a scan tool which I don't have)
I'm totally confused. Any help would be appreciated!

Does your transmitter have round or square buttons? I know this seems to be a strange question, but the round button transmitters are the newer style and use a different re-programming proceedure. Also, get me the last 8 digits of your vin and I can help with locating the module.

My Cavalier's was behind the interior panel of the trunk on the driver's side. I realize this has nothing to do with your car, but did you pull both sides back and look?
Funny, I bought that one and didn't know it had keyless. I noticed the release when I had the trunk open one day. I went back to the dealer and asked for a remote, the service manager told me Cavaliers don't come with keyless entry.
Either he was wrong, or it was a dealer installed option, but it was O.E. equipment. I had to buy one transmitter, they gave me the second one, and did the reprogram for free, so it wasn't too bad a deal.

A. Not on the driver's side - yet.

According to your vin, your car has the old 3 square button transmitter (gm#15725423) so you may have either a wrong transmitter or an aftermarket one that isn't compatible with your receiver. On my 91 Grand Prix I used to have, the receiver module was located in the rear window shelf by the 3rd brake light. The picture in the GM computer isn't real clear as to where yours is located, but I believe it's under the dash near the parking brake pedal on the kick panel mounted vertically. Most systems with the square button ttransmitter use the wire in the trunk, but since your's is mounted forward in the passenger compartment, I think the trerminal you ground for programming is under the dash.

To be honest, I *did* see a terminal that under the dash. I'll check that out as soon as it stops getting up to 105 degrees out here! Thanks, that really gives me an answer to my question.
Thanks, you guys!!
