I have a 1993 Chevy Corsica. The top hose on the radiator keeps blowing off. At first the shop said it was the connection on the radiator, replaced that , three weeks later did it again. Then they said the hose wasnt on correctly, put back on ,again. Still does it. Replaced the hose, thermostat, water pump ,heater coil ,engine & transmission replaced 4 years ago. Keeps blowing off!! Help , driving me crazy!!Any ideas?

Holy crap! Sounds bad to me. I have to think at the minor end, a bad radiator cap( I would HOPE), but could be a major problem like a blown head gasket or head. Seems I have heard of this happening before and pressure from engine combustion chamber was getting into cooling system. Do some research here and see if you find any other references to this. It takes a lot of pressure to blow off a hose, and your system is only supposed to be 15-16 lbs (pretty sure) of pressure. I do not know if a clogged cooling system would do this. My old 91 (6 cylinder)lost a head a few years back (only really bad thing to happen to it) due to a crack, and the 4 cylinder engines have a bad habit of gaskets and head problems. You can try a new cap if you want, but, I think I would take it for a compression check to see if any problems there. I know a abd cap will cause problems including hose collapse. Check your oil for milky color. Perhaps someone else will have other ideas on this. Maybe not as bad I am guessing.
