Hey All,
86 G body tilt steering is loose and wheel wobbles all over. After searching the forums found out that loose bolts were the problem. I have the column tore down to where I can see the three bolts but can only get a socket on one of them. There is a big gray metal part where the ignition switch actually is and where the steering rod actually goes through that is in the way. Does this come off somehow in order to tighten the bolts? It almost looks like the bolts actually go through this part but I can't tell for sure. Hayne's and Chilton's little help in tearing the column down past this point.

Because the 1986 Chrysler Laser is classified as a "G" body style, as is the Dodge Daytona. This "newbie" was trying to use a generic term since different models/names/years used the same set up. Thank you though for your concern; and now do you have any answers for me?

this is the plymouth laser forum. try in the dodge daytona forum since we dont know shit about your car.
only thing i can say is get a flex socket or wrench or take off whatever blocks it.
