Well, my first since I was probably 9. I've gotten a lot better even since I started this model. I really had no idea what to do when I began. Hopefully I'll improve as I go on, I have EXTREMELY unsteady hands, so it's nearly impossible to paint detail. Oh well, I'm happy enough with the results.

Excuse my poor picture taking.

It's the Tamiya Fairlady 300ZX of course. Color is Model Master Pearl Blue Metallic (spray can)

EDIT - new pics

Good job for a first, you put in a good amount of detail!! My reintroduction started with an AMT Buick Grand National kit, and its sure not as detailed as yours! Good job on the windshield, I fucked up windshields big on my first 4 or so models, it can be a tricky job on lots of kits.
A few pointers:
-Exacto knives are good for shaving down the tabs left over after de-attachment from the kit, then a fine tip brush is good for going over em.
-Basic airbrush kits are cheap. I got mine from toys r us for 15 bucks, came with propellant and some acylic paint, sprays a million times better and easier than any damn automotive or model spray can I've used.
-You can use an exacto knife or sandpaper to bring down the annoying center line in the tires
-Remember the side mirrors! On a couple of my models, I was so occupied rushing through that I forgot the mirrors then discarded the junk before I realized!

BTW, your real car is the one dream car of mine that I'll actually be able to afford one day, I LOVE everything about those cars! Of course, mitsu doesn't deal in Canada yet so if I get one, it'll be a ~92 Stealth R/T TT

hahahaha.... I was reading the posts and completely forgot the side mirrors. They are sitting painted and ready to be glued on right on my table. :-P I'll post new pics in a bit.:bandit:

Good effort for you first model...may it be the start of many more !!

Just a couple of things i'd do to make it look even better...
1/ Do the black around the windows/roof etc and rubbers. Use Tamiya tape to mask off for a nice clean line
2/ Do the orange on the front panel siginal light.

:)
