This blazer was completely done up, not so much on the outside or inside, but the motor. I rebuilt the whole motor and slapped a turbo on it, full details are at my site http://members.rideconnection.net/xblazinlv.

Let me know what you think

A Toyota Tundra Limited.....leaving it 100% stock.

I'm currently looking for another project vehicle.

What happened to the Blazer?

What happened to the Blazer?

I moved into a new house, and I couldn't afford the blazer or the syclone anymore as they were both very high maintenance vehicles. Not only that, but they required too much time which I didn't have when I first moved in. I needed something that was daily driveable.....and I was neglecting the blazer. So I decided to sell it to a buddy of mine in Chicago who is a S-series nut and was planning on doing the same to his blazer as I had done to mine. He is taking good care of it and actually taking it to the next level. When he is through, it should be an 11 second SUV with the 4.3 V6 still in it :)

We put it on the dyno in Michigan, and at 11.5psi it made 400 RWHP and 500+ ft/lb of torque

It was a pretty fun little ride, it just broke too much for me to handle once I moved into my house.

Jesus! How much was the turbo? If I installed the same setup you had can it still be considered a daily driver? Could I still tow and have 4 wheel fun in the snow?

It was expensive..... not only because of the cost of the parts, but breaking things all the time gets pricey too. I drove it daily with the turbo on it, but you have to get everything 100% correct before it can be a daily driver. Honestly, once you get that deep into a newer 4.3L, it is a pain in the ass and things go wrong all the time. Not only that, but you need to have LS-1 edit to mess with the computer and fuel tables, and tuning is a bitch. Really the best thing to do would be to have a custom intake manifold fabbed up for it with bigger injectors as you can't replace the injectors on a 4.3L stock manifold. If you want more information about turboing it let me know.

I also have a supercharger kit on this thing before I turboed it, and that thing put out some nice power too. That might be an easier way to go if you want to daily drive it.

But can I still tow and use it daily? Like have it be reliable?
