Security Light on 99' Grand Am SE V6

Hello,
Has anyone ever fixed the security light from coming on and not alowing the car to turn on?
Not by doing the 10 minute-15 minute wait with the key inside, but by actually either changing the BCM or the PCM? What about the ignition lock cylinder? I am trying to do the repairs myself; so if anyone has ever done any installing work with these modules please reply.
I actually have to wait an hour before it can allow me to turn the car on.
Dealer told me it would be about $800 before taxes to solve this dilemma!

If you do a search I know you will find the answer you are looking for. The Security light on the Grand Am is one of the biggest questions on this entire forum. There was a post a couple weeks ago from a member who described in great detail an easy way to disable this system. Good Luck and welcome to the forum.
