Tranny just went today, its to the point where its not even driveable now. Its at 98 with the 3.8, I'm looking at 389 to pull it out and see whats wrong and go from there, can anyone tell me what they paid total to have their tranny rebuilt, or even replaced, this would much be appreciated since i love the car, but i'm in college and my parents are just thinking about junking it....i can't let that happen

Not sure if you're still lookin' ... I paid approx. 1,700 for my rebuild last year.

Yea i already paid 2000 to have it rebuilt, the fluid was black and burnt, and apparently I also damaged the "rear end" involved in the transmission whatever that is

Actually, I had my tranny re-built twice within a year. There was something wrong with the torque converter that they didn't catch the first time. I didn't pay the labor the 2nd time, but I had to pay for the rebuild KIT. Good luck.
