I am pulling the block out of my st 165 and I am a little unsure of the procedures/precautions of removing the front halfshafts. My chiltons book is a little ambiguous about this. Does anyone have any advice, or know a site where I can find out how to do this properly and safely??

lol got plenty of exp with this....just put some kind of prybar or something wehre the metal part of the shaft connects to the transmission, pry it out at the same time you or someone else is pulling on the shaft (this way you wont tear away the cv boot and pull the bearings apart)....its really easy and dont be scared to give a nice tug becuase they have snap rings on them that like to stay in place :) its alot easyer if you have 2 people (1 to pull the other to pry and pull from the metal piece)
