Blown Speakers - New Ones?

I just bought an '02 Buick Regal LS with 94.5K miles on it today as my second car (my first was a '94 Saturn SL1 and it's a huge improvement). Anyways, the back speakers are blown and that's the only problem with the car.

Can I just install new ones in the back? Do I have to do anything extra to get them to work with the factory CD player? Also, what type of speakers should I get? I'm looking for something that sounds good but is cheap. I don't need anything loud, and I'm not looking to install an amp.

There are a bunch of aftermarket direct fit rear speakers available. Try Crutchfield or Best Buy. They also have the adapter cables to mate up to the stock connector.

You do know you have to remove the rear lower and upper seat cushions to get at the rear speakers for replacement? Good luck!

No, I didn't know I had to remove the seat cushions. It looked as if I could just unhook the rear deck speaker covers and unscrew possibly unscrew them, and then bring them out through the trunk or something.

Also, I'm now thinking about replacing the deck as well. I heard BestBuy will do a free installation and include extra pieces to make it fit right. Does anyone know anything about this?
