NANO ipod connector for BMW X5

I found this product that states you can use it in the X5 WITH the BMW NAVIGATION. Any feedback on this? Anyone use it with there NAVIGATION?

You can't use the cd player with it, but you only have one wire to run to the front of the car (for the iPod), and most of the dash/steering wheel functions still work. We got our car used w/o a disc changer (w/ nav unit), and laughed at the $550 price tag for a "reconditioned" unit from the dealer.

For that price I ordered the Ice>Link, an iPod Nano, and a clear case from Agent 18. I believe my iPod Mini will work with the same connector on the Ice>Link so I won't have to rely on my wife's iPod being in the car.
