I Know the guy GTP coupe and have been working on the same car bnaylor asked if we replaced the fuse, We did with two different ones just to make sure it didnt blow them after the first one. Do you think it maybe the ground on the transmission, I did have it rebuilt. The car is at my brothers house so I havent been able to check it. Would oxidation cause this also on the transmission? The car has been sitting for about a year.

THANK YOU GMGREMLIN & BNAYLOR

I recall working with you on a grounding issue a little while back. The ground on the tranny/engine is the main ground. There are about 5 black ground wires that hook up to the grounding stud including the main ground from the battery negative. If you have corrosion or oxidation it would probably be a good idea to remove all the ground wires and clean them up including the stud.

The orange and pink wires that provide voltage supply to the PCM are located in the same wiring harness. I'd recommend removing the plastic cable covering and do a comprehensive visual inspecton. Make sure none of the wires are burnt, shorted out, damaged, open, etc.

Without having to go back and forth reviewing previous or other message threads could you explain your specific problem here again.

THANK YOU GMGREMLIN & BNAYLOR

BTW - I thought his handle was GMMerlin. Ooops!

But seriously, also check to make sure none of the grounds were left off when the tranny was replaced. Good luck!
