in dire need

i just bought a 1996 civic EX 1.6L vtech....whatever all that means...just the vtech crap...but still, it is a little 2Dr coupe. when i took it home, i tried to just play a bit with it, and i need alot more then what that small engine can crank out. what would be some big, little, minor, major things to do with this car. i now in my profile it lists i have a neon, and yeah, i do. it too is a waste...didn't know if this deal was going to go through, and now that it has....i now have a small civic as well.....any and all info would be great......oh yeah, it is also an automatic....nothing wrong, just do not like cars smaller then V-8's to be manual....

leave it alone it was designed for fuel efficiency. 35mpg is good compared to 8mpg from v8

true, but i really do not care about fuel effinciency...doesn't bother me if gas is $3 a gallon, or $10 a gallon. i got places to be, so i gotta pay for it....
