Sr20 belongs in the trash... LS-1 is by far the better motor....

It owns it in every single category except its not as quiet, sr doesn't vibrate as much with raw power, and it doesn't get as much fuel economy.

320rwhp owns 166rwhp.

IT WAS A JOKE DUMBASS.

Seriously... I dont see how you can fail that horribly at everything

well... hmm the ls1 would be a bitch to work on because the engine takes up most of the engine compartment....it is soooo easy to work on the sr20det... you can get to literally every external bolt easily... out of my three cars ,my nissan is by far the easiest to work on.

as far as power goes... id take the ls-1.. instant torque and no turbo lag.

seeing as thats a Toda JGTC motor i would put it at a bit more than 166whp and even probably more 320whp and on top of the ls1 in reliability and HP/Liter. and plus its in this car http://www.todaracing.com/images/081car.jpg, so it would shit on 99% of anything that has an LS1 in it on the track..

the corvettes are cool because joe and earl from south carolina built one just like it and you can be all cool with your cool corvettes and share tractor/farming and hunting stories together.

the daishin silvia is cool because Toda says right on their website about the engines: " PLEASE READ!

TODA RACE ENGINES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE. THEY ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN JAPAN ON LEASE TERMS TO PROFESSIONAL TEAMS COMPETING IN FIA SANCTIONED RACING SERIES.

THESE ENGINES WILL NOT FIT YOUR STREET CAR."

I Understand, Please Show Me The Engines (http://www.todaracing.com/topics/race_engines_02.html)

i don't expect the C5R to be faster then a JGTC500 cars since when JGTC went to the states to california speed way, the track was too small and the turns was too wide where the cars only needed to run a 33% of there potential on that track. they were only average in the low 1 G's when in japan they pull over 3 G's while cornering. a JGTC500 car laps around as fast as a formula 3 race car.

Lol... you guys crack me up.

First off, I've got a Z28... not an SS. Not that theirs much difference between the two besides hood and spoiler. Mechanically it's pretty much the same shit.

Anywho, the C5R runs on a special block. A 7.0L (427ci) small block. Yeah, it's based off the LS1... but far beyond it.

I'd like to see the ALMS Corvette Racing C6-R
http://www.motorsportscenter.com/uploads/pv__023981___1_.jpg
race the JGTC500 Xanavi GTR car.

Well they shouldnt be faster considering JGTC is trying to make the cars LeMans legal (Meaning they could run in both series). But As they sit JGTC cars should be faster since the rules allow more.

I was there at Cali speedway for the JGTC race and thats an exxageration. they Normally do 2.5-2.7G and in America they were doing 2.0-2.3G

gotcha. and just for the record, a JGTC car shares almost nothing with the original car. the only piece that remains stock is the roof of the car. the C5R like you said is less extreme. so the JGTC has more exotic hardware therefore it should be faster since they have the freedom to mess around with all the aerodynamics and such, they even use a pushrod with rocker arm suspension setup like the older formula 1 style cars. the cars weights 2500lbs as well, with water cooled carbon brakes.

heres a link as well. http://sportcompactcarweb.com/features/0504_scc_skyline/

also not to mention keichi tsuchiya competed in the 24 leman's with a twin turbo nsx and he ranked high in his class. the twin turbo leman's nsx is no where near as extreme as the arta jgtc500 nsx that he drove before he retired, and the arta nsx was extremely uncompetitive last season in jgtc.

this thread sucks. Wait i thought i remember something on tv where the corvettes and vipers and shit were getting dominated by foreigners, shit so were the ferrari's.

oh yea now that i came back i remember this thread was about a credit card. Iv been waiting for mine for 3 weeks now, they said it would only take 2 weeks. Im pissed lol. I only have a grand limit though.....not like im going to max it out or anything but in the future i will make big purchases that will be over a grand.....so im going to pay off a bunch of shit on it then call them up and up my limit if they let me. Im a pay in full type of guy. So my credit history should be good, so they most likely will let me up it to about 2 grand.
