:crying: My car (actually my boyfriends that I drive everyday) is couging badly. Especially when traveling at about 70 mph, going up slight hill.Maybe sputtering would be better desciption. WEll, plugs are fine, planning to replace wires (not so fine), but someone suggested that I replace the cover that goes over the valce cover. Hold the ignition coils? What is this called, and can anyone help me? Thank you for the oppotuinity to try this website.
Peace, haphipchic

Can you please post what size engine you have either a 4 or 6 cylinder. If you are talking about the cover between the cams on the 2.4L you don't need to replace the cover as the important components mount to that cover. The coils and ignition module all mount to the cover. Your problem could be ignition related and if changing the wires does not help then you may have to change the coils. It has two!

Does the car run fine otherwise? If so then the problem could be in either the fuel system or in the transmission.
