se-r spec v vs vol.... GLI

friday night i when with my friend to a place were everybody go to race . i dont know why that place was dead so i decide to go .when i was waiting for the red light to go green , i saw a blue vol... GLI making a curve i never got the chance to race a GLI so i pass the red light(no cops) and ask the body if he want a race , he says yeah and i say lets race out of the hole ,so we stop then he bips 3 times , we both hit it . 1st and 2nd i already have like 3 cars on him them when i hit 5 going about 125mh , i still beat him by 2 cars 1/2 and he ask me to go 1 gear roll i say ok, finish with the same outcome , then i ask him if he was turbo , he respond yeah stock turbo, with intake , so i say alright man thanks and i went home. i tought those cars were fast . i driving a se-r spec v with intake. now i wanna raced the 1.8t will be the same outcome.jaaaaaa peace

I'm not saying you didn't beat the GLI. What I have a problem with is how you spout off this damn false (and just plain stupid) information. For instance, in your other post where you claim you can't judge how fast a car is by it's 1/4 mile time. Or when you say an SRT-4 is faster than an STI or an EVO.

well i'm saying that becouse the experience i have. i toll you i run the sti coming back from the gym and he just got me by 2 cars 1/2 and srt-4 and have him 1st and 2nd by a little much than a fender but when he hit 3rd he pull like 4 good cars so thats my experience with the srt-4 and the sti

Well what you don't seem to be able to comprehend, is that the driver of the car makes a huge difference.

You say you have experience but do you not know that we ourselves have experience as well...I think you also posted something about "3 years on Florida" what does that have to prove? and how can a STi be really racing you if you were dead even in 1st and 2nd? Its AWD dammit!!! You might have your 180lb/ft of torque with a nice amount of low end power but thats still not enough to take a STi through 1st and 2nd...SOMEBODY GET A STI TO RACE THIS GUY!!!

I forgot but I do believe your story about the GLI because volkswagons arent very fast at all...my cousins '95 civic coupe w/b16a i/h/e and ecu was dead even with a supercharged GTI on the 1/8 mile...

YES do a search and you will find that we are right...and yes why dont we ask Spec V owners what they think about their car...most say that they are rather disappointed and should have chosen another car...

Yeah, that's the funny thing this guy would get raped by a wrx in every gear, let alone a sti. I own a 2003 wrx and there is no way in hell that a se-r could hang with it when it was stock in any gear. I don't even think this guy has a car. Maybe his older brother has a se-r and he is just swinging from his nuts.
