coolant flush - couldn't find the engine block drain plug.

have the Haynes repair manual but it doesn't say where the hole is.

thanks. sound like all i need to do is to drain the radiator? this is a 91 civic hatchback.
i just flushed coolant on my bmw e46; the engine block drain plug is in an awkward place and it took a lot of effort just to get to it. the coolant shot all over the place - it's impossible to put a funnel under the hole. the engine block hold a lot of liquid, even after i drain the radiator first.

Its towards the drivers side, depening on the engine it can be on the front or back, generally though its right by where all the sensor pug into the block, right by the oil filter

i always thought that it was behind the exhaust mani close to #4 about half way down the block

Guess I had em backwards, my y8 and d16a vtec block had em on the back side

i just drained the rad. filled with water ran till fan came on the drained and refilled with coolant and water.
