Hello,
I'm somewhat new here and well I sort of got an old 240dl wagon which I want to rebuild and clean up a little. The engine isn't the best looking thing around. I bought myself a book on how to rebuild, clean, and care for the car. But I wanted to know if there was anything that would help with performance and things I should watch out for or expect. I'm probably going to rebuild the engine next summer when I've actually got time. I'm probably going to replace a lot of things on it, wires, hoses, gaskets, etc. One thing I've really been interested in porting and polishing it, I was wondering if anyone had advice or a website that could show me what I needed and how to do it. I'm not really going to start changing out or making the car something fast, being that it is a wagon. If it were a sedan I might consider that. I just need this car to be setup to run smoother, cleaner, and maybe a little faster.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I also was wonder where to get a turbo kit of some sort for my volvo if possible. What type would I need? It's an automatic transmission, the engine is a 4 cylinder. I'm hoping to put a little umph into the car. The stock 114hp just really isn't cutting it for me. And I have a feeling not all those horses are still alive after 15 years of use.
