ok im busy working on my new tail light setup, and i need to take off my center tail light, but i just cant get the damn thing off.

i've removed each of the 6 little screws completely (lifted up the light and unclipped them from the lens itself), but it's attached by the middle by a big clip. it appears as though you need to slide the lens up to remove it, but the body is in the way, so it doesnt seem like it's possible... not cool. i then removed the interior panel there to see what i could find behind that spot, and there's just one little thing sticking out. doesnt seem to help me out.

hopefully YOU can!! i gotta get this done already. help a brother out lol.

when i took mine off i tried twisting it and turning it and everything and somehow it just slid right out of the notch in the back of the middle of the tail light piece.

hah, hey vlad. thanks for the tip. i was pulling on the damn thing forever a couple days ago, and just finally gave up. i guess i'll hafta try twisting more.

i just dont wanna go apeshit on the thing and end up breaking something so i was wondering how someone else managed to get it off without causing damage.

i'll try again later on today.

thanks man.

well i tried your twisting technique, turned the thing all the way up sideways and it popped straight off. i never woulda thought to spin the light to take it off.

got the black center on now, looks waaay better with the clears now, no more red looking out of place.

next up is sealing, then painting
