finality i get to talk about this , i got a se-r specv 04 and before buying my car i was confuse wish one to buy , spec v or type -s , i did some search about the cars and i found out both cars are runing similar 1/4 times so i bouthg the spe v , cause was a few box cheaper , my friend got a type -s 02 bouthg it about 7 mounths ago , so i was thinking if he was goin to beat me. wednesday night was a car show on i95 and 595 and i just got the car like 2 days , so i hear type-s was going so i went. we stay 2 hours and them police came and kick every body out , so my friend with the type s star hit the gas so pushed too , he star 1 car fisrt i put 3 gear and he didnt move , then put 4 and he didnt move eighter , so he toll me , you car is runing good lets race in the next red light , so i say ok. we stop and light turn green and we both hit it, 1 and 2 i pull i get him by 4 cars , then 3rd and 4 and i still got him by 4 car and my brother , he got and integra ls with i/h/e ,he toll me before that the rsx was slow thats why i bouhtg the se-r so , my brother was 2 car behind us and he get side by side with the type -s , my other friend , he got a civic ex fully built he is the best friend of the guy with the rsx-s , and i toll him i beat him nasty and he toll me , no that cant be true , maybe is because he doesnt know how to drive, he say , he was goin to drive the car and then we see , i say ok. then one night in uss 27, every friday , all people go race ovethere so his friend driving the type -s and i beat him by 3 cars , i'm stock , he got intake , exasht , vitec controler. so thats for all people that say rsx-s is faster than the se-r spec v and i race a Gli and beat it by 2cars half . peace

Put me in the RSX-S and Ill nail you, 100% sure. I dont need 2.0 liters, give me an Si 1.6 liter and you wont be able to beat me. I worked in the Nissan one summer ago, and I drove my Si everyday and raced the "test" guy with a completely new 2004 SE-R, couldnt pull any in first and second, but i could manage a little more than half a car in third. The SE-R Dies when it is revving high and close to its redline. Now, if you give me a K series, its an easy race. Do the math, power to weight ratio, and equal drivers, result= Type S is faster.

But good race. It doesent mean i dont believe you, the other guy has no idea what he is doing. Driving 15 sec 1/4 mile cars is EASY to nail down constant times, almost to the full potential of the car. Get into a 12 second car, then you have to know how to drive.

Well obviously he doesn't drive very well.. a Type S runs low 15s, a Spec V runs high 15s. Thus, a stock RSX-S can beat a Spec V given drivers of equal skill. Sorry, your friend sucks at driving.

And as for the STI... hahaha that one brought a laugh. An STI runs more to each tire than you run at the crank, and has AWD to boot. The only way you could beat one (assuming he knew he was racing) was if he started in 6th gear and went half-throttle the whole way.

A quarter mile time is the time the car runs. Are you an idiot? A car that runs 10.4 is faster than a car that runs 11.5 is faster than a car that runs 16.4. An SRT-4 doesn't even come close to an Evo or an STI.

The number on the inside of the door is the MAX weight of the RSX-S. The CURB weight of the RSX is 2700 lbs, same as the SE-R.

I don't know how to explain it any more clearly. If you want to continue being an ignorant ricer, go for it. But I can guarantee your car can't beat any of the cars you've listed here, except for maybe the Spyder GT-S. MAYBE.

Spec Vs are capable of hitting low 15s. Most of the stock ones that I've seen run are any where between 15.3 to 15.5. I know that a RSX-S would kill a Spec given same driver however.

The RSX does not weigh 3600 lbs you idiot. It's well under 3000 lbs. Just a shade heavier than your car. I have a friend with a Civic Si and another with a Focus SVT. Stock, they could both start pulling on a Spec V by 3rd gear. I think even my grandma, who used to drive a manual but went to an automatic because of her age and clumsyness could beat your Spec V with a stock RSX-S. The RSX has a better hp/weight ratio to begin with, better gearing, and continues to make power at higher RPMs, where the Spec V just dies. You can't even compare the two cars. The Type S should murder the Spec V. No contest.

The only reason why it beat the SRT-4 is because of the gearing difference and the fact that the Neon has to spool up. The Neon will pas by 60. But that 14.9 is accurate. Compared to the 15.7-15.8 of the Spec V....

The RSX is simply put, faster. I used to own a REAL SE-R (Classic B13), that stayed toe-to-toe with SpecV's it raced, but was pulled by 1.5 cars by my friend's SISTER'S (:() Type S.

I drive an 05 Accord 6speed V6 Coupe, Intake Exhaust, UR Crank Pulley and VAFC2 controller, I get 237 hp/229 ft/lb torque to the wheels on 93 premium. the 2006 spec-v has a weight of 2710lbs with HP rated at 175. meanwhile the 06 rsx-s has 201hp at 2840lbs. so the difference in weights is not where near 1000lbs. i have heard that the spec-v are geared to generate more power in the mid range thus the reason why he was beating the rsx out of the hole. the rsx-s is a high revving car that will make power in the top end. both cars are very nice, personally i would choose a rsx-s just because i love acura.
