My service engine soon light comes on shortly after engine begins to warm up. The DTC code is P0403 EGR Flow circuit malfunction. I can't detect any problems with the performance of the engine. I just don't like to the the ses light come on. Any suggestions on what is causing the problem? 99 Caravan ES 3.8.ltr V-6. Thanks.

could be a bad EGR solenoid
it won't effect the prefoemance of you engine. just make sure you get it fixed before your next emisions inspection

Thanks for the reply. I will get it fixed soon..... as I have my emisions inspection next month. Is there a way to test the EGR solenoid to see if it is the problem?

you would need a scan tool to test it

you can look at the egr valve with flashlight and warm engine in neutral. rev the engine to 2000 and not over 3000 the valve inside will move if okay. This shoes the control system is working otherwise i just replaced the valve
